08/28/14 Along with Producer Marti Harrell, guests include: Mary Himel, Heirloom Produce Cooperative project manager and BestLife FLASH Market vendor coordinator, details on the afternoon’s BestLife FLASH Market and Mandy Armentor, Associate Extension Agent and Nutritionist from LSU AgCenter.  Mandy will talk about the dish she’ll be preparing for sampling at the FLASH Market and give us a little insight on how the LSU AgCenter will be working with BestLife Iberia in the coming months. 08/14/14 This week’s show was primarily about the new “BestLife Iberia Dining” program which will be “soft premiered” this Saturday at Des Amis Dining and Catering in conjunction with Envision daBerry’s special, mid-month “Show Tunes Sing Along” event. 08/7/14 This is the first Thursday of August so Chef Patrick Mould released a recipe that puts our great, locally-grown figs to work! (recipe available here) This is National Farmers Market Week our guests include: Wendell Verret – Director, Port of Delcambre – with the details on the return of the Delcambre Seafood and Farmers Market on September 6th at their NEW, permanent location on the waterfront in Delcambre! 07/31/14  Along with Producer Marti Harrell, our guests from the Iberia Pregnancy Resource Center and Clinic were: Cindy Blanchard- Director, Lana Prejean - Event Coordinator and Mary Gilbert, RN - Nurse Manager. “The Great Chili Challenge”, coming up on November 1 in City Park.  This annual fundraiser for the Iberia Pregnancy Resource Center and Clinic (IPRCC) features the chili cook-off including a NEW "BestLife Iberia Healthy Living" category. We discussed pre-natal healthy-living nutrition and exercise tips as well as a few of the resources, counseling, support and educational services offered by the IPRCC.

06/05/14 Chef Pat introduced the recipe and prep of “Spicy Shrimp Boil with Cajun Cocktail Sauce”, Wendell Verret, Director, Port of Delcambre with the latest info on this weekend’s Delcambre Seafood and Farmers Market as well as the latest info on the progress at Delcambre’s waterfront project, Thomas Hymel, LSU SeaGrant with all the news about the spring inland shrimp season and an update on the Delcambre Direct Seafood program AND “Vermilion Bay Sweet” brand seafood products, Ms. Shandy Heil - LSU AgCenter Extension Associate in Disaster Mitigation. She will be at the Delcambre Market assisting individuals interested in identifying the elevation of their property at an on-line mapping station, Ms. Claudette Hanks Reichel, Ed.D, Professor and Extension Housing Specialist and LaHouse Resource Center Director to explain what the Mobile House unit is and what it will demonstrate.  (For further information on these topics)

05/15/14 Along with Chef Patrick Mould and Producer Marti Harrell, Scott Coco, a longtime cycling enthusiast and member of the Cajun Cyclists Bicycle Club. We talked about different types of bikes and their use; proper fit for your body; the importance of a proper fitting helmet and other safety gear; riding for fun and fitness at any age and fitness level; a cyclists rights and responsibilities (including signals and lights) and motorists responsibilities when it comes to sharing the road; where to catch a “pick up” ride and lots more!
