Food, Water and other Distribution Info:

Federal Government Approves Launch of Disaster Food Stamp Program

Beginning at noon Thursday, Sept. 18th, 4200 gallons of Clorox will be distributed to residents affected by Hurricane Ike courtesy of Good Neighbor Pharmacies.  Distribution location is Delcambre Pharmacy, 510 Hwy. 14 West in Delcambre.

 

Update 9/16/08: Iberia Parish Government has established 3 locations for commodity distribution beginning Tuesday September 16th. From 8am till 4pm through Wednesday, Ice, water and MRE's will be available at the Delcambre Catholic Church. At 9am, commodities will be distributed at Weeks Park in Lydia and the Park in Rynella. Identification showing you live in the flood affected areas will be required to receive commodities.

 

UPDATED: State Announces LOCATION FOR NATIONAL GUARD SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION POINTS (as of Thursday-subject to change)

Baton Rouge - The National Guard has now opened multiple supply distribution points throughout Louisiana. These points will distribute water, ice, food, and tarps to residents affected by Hurricane Gustav.

The points will be located at:

Iberia

  • Jeanerette: 101 Main Street (City Hall) No Longer available as of Saturday afternoon.

Lafourche Parish

  • Matthews: 4876 Hwy 1 (located adjacent to the new Wal-Mart.)  

St. Martin:

  • Three Point of Distribution Sites (PODS) in St Martin Parish are closing today, Sunday, September 7, 2008. The locations closing are: Magnolia Park, 100 Northside Dr, St Martinville, LA; Henderson Town Park, 1015 Park Rd, Henderson, LA; and Stephensville POD in Stephensville, LA. The only POD side that will remain open will be at the Belle River Fire Department, 1207-A Hwy 70, Pierre Part, LA which is in Lower St Martin Parish. That site will operate from 8:30 AM until 6:30 PM until further notice. Ice, water and MRE’s will continue to be made available for the Residents of Lower St Martin Parish due to the extended power outage in that area. These commodities will be provided to the Belle River and Stephensville residents until supplies last.

St. Mary Parish

  • Morgan City: Morgan City Auditorium, 725 Myrtle Street

Terrebonne Parish

  • Houma: Behind the Civic Center at 346, Civic Blvd.
