Grains & proteins leave an acidic residue. Fruits & vegetables leave an alkaline residue. Grains & proteins are important for overall health, but balance them with a large amount of fruits & vegetables. 1. Grains- such as brown rice, oats & barley are good choices.
2. Proteins – such as nuts, seeds, dry beans, eggs & oily fish.
3. Fruits & Vegetables – choose fresh, dried & frozen.
Fluids to Choose:
Your detox should include Rest, Gentle Exercise, & Quiet Time. No T.V., music, or even conversation.
This kind of detox can be done for a week every 2 or 3 months. Actually, it’s safe & nutritious, & can be used to give your digestive system a “rest”. You may want to try it on a week-end, Friday thru Sunday.
