softshell crabsThough inland waters are closed for shrimp until some time in May, shrimp and crabs are available in some locations. Many of our fishermen have crawfish, which are in season now and other fresh seafood products; check our Fresh Catch messages, or like us on Facebook for fishermen updates.

Photographer John E. Adams is coming to Delcambre this summer as part of his photo-documentary of vanishing wooden shrimp trawlers, Evanescent Trawlers of the South. We are proud to be included in his itinerary; view his work here.
